We were recently lucky enough to spend a few nights exploring the beautiful Muratie Wine Estate just outside of Stellenbosch in the stunning Cape Winelands.
If you ever want to really feel like you own your wine farm then this is the place to be. They have one stunning cottage on the estate that is open to guests so when the sun goes down you literally have the place to yourself. And in the morning you can even join the winemaker and his team as they handpick the grapes for their harvest. This is as authentic as it gets!
Inside the tasting venue, Muratie is all about old world charm and bohemian aesthetics. The tables are dotted amongst the cobwebs and antique furniture in old concrete wine vats where you can still feel the wax on the walls. You will feel like you’ve been transported to another era.
